At night, in my dream, Haruka, the main character, whispered to me, and I woke up in the morning and realized that I was deeply moved. I've never seen a movie like this before. この映画が心の深いところに致命的に刺さっていることに気づかず、夜、夢の中に主人公・春花が登場して僕にささやいてくれ、、、 朝起きて後、布団の中で自分が深く感動していたと気づきました。 こんな映画は初めてです。まだ半分夢の中にいる状態で『覚悟はできたかい？』という優しい歌声がなんどもリフレインされて、その覚悟はできていない自分はまだ青春真っただ中でもがいているのかも、と身につまされました。ああ、今も頭の中でリフレイン。

I think movies are art books. Hundreds of pictures overlap each other to make a movie. Hishikawa's new movie, “All aboard!” is an art book. The scenery of Komatsushima in Tokushima Prefecture is not an exaggeration like a sightseeing video that you often see, but it is a real scene that seems to be anywhere, but only here, as if the daily lives of the people living here are woven beautifully cut out in the movie. Any movie is a real documentary in the area. After enjoying the story of the movie (the story is also wonderful), you will probably want to watch the Komatsushima art book or documentary once again, and it is a good idea to repeat it. And one day, it might be nice to actually visit Komatsushima.

映画は画集、だと思っている。一枚一枚の絵が何百枚も重なって映画になっていく。菱川さんの新しい映画『新青春』は、まさに画集だ。徳島県・小松島の情景、もちろん観光ビデオのようなギラギラしたものではなく、どこにでもありそうな、それでいてここにしかない、ここに住む人々の日常が編み込まれて作られた、リアルな風景が映画の中に美しく切り取られている。どんな映画もそのロケ地のドキュメンタリーである。映画の物語（物語がまた素晴らしい）を楽しんだあとは、もう一度、小松島の画集あるいはドキュメンタリーを観るつもりで、繰り返し見るのもいいだろう。そして、いつの日か、実際に小松島を訪れてみるのもいいだろう。

“Film festivals around the world have been postponed or canceled due to the COVID-19. The Tokushima International Film Festival, which was supposed to be premiered this year, has also been canceled. I watched the movie on my computer monitor at home. If it was as planned, everyone would get together in Tokushima, watch it on a big screen, and linger with the imagination that they would have been talking and drinking about the movie with actors and staff. The youth movie is a kind of "embarrassing field", but it was 90 minutes to laugh and cry when I noticed it, because of the director's direction, the acting of the actors, and the details of the staff. The script by Akio Miyoshi was also good. People were alive, even though no particular incident occurred. The music also had a comical atmosphere somewhere in Japan, and in the latter half I was absorbed in the story. The two young actors (Yukino Murakami and Soma Fujii) were very impressed. He grumbled that he often found talented actors. Towns and shops in Tokushima that sometimes appear. If we watched it at the Tokushima International Film Festival next year, it will surely have been exciting. The faces of everyone who made the film came to my eyes, and I enjoyed imagining that the production site of this movie was a new youth, Mr. Hishikawa's new youth. I often stay home and read books and watch movies. By all means, I want many people to see it. The shooting is very beautiful. “新型コロナウイルスのことで世界中の映画祭が延期や中止に追い込まれています。今年、この映画がプレミア上映されるはずだった徳島国際映画祭も中止となってしまった。

映画を自宅のパソコンのモニターで鑑賞させていただいた。本来であれば、徳島で、みんな集まって、大スクリーンで観て、役者さんやもスタッフさんと映画について語り明かし飲み明かしていただろうと想像しながら余韻を味わっている。

青春映画とか自分ではなんとなく気恥ずかしい分野なんだけど、監督の演出や俳優たちの演技、スタッフの皆さんの細かい技で、気がつけば笑ったり泣いたりとあっという間の90分だった。三好昭央さんの脚本もよかった！特に事件が起きるわけではないのに、人々が生きてましたね。音楽もどこか昭和を感じるコミカルな雰囲気もありつつ、後半はストーリーへ没頭していきました。二人の若い俳優（村上由規乃さん、藤井草馬さん）はとても好感が持てました。才能溢れる俳優陣をよく見つけたものだと唸りました。時々出てくる徳島の街やお店。徳島国際映画祭で観ていたら盛り上がったこと間違いなしですね。作り上げたみんなの顔が目に浮かび、この映画の制作現場そのものが新青春、菱川さんの新青春だったのではないかと勝手に想像して楽しんでいます。家にいることが多く本を読んだり、映画を観たりの日々だと思います。是非、多くに人にも観て欲しいです。すごく撮影が綺麗です。
